My eatttttts.
On Tuesday I had 4 pieces of butter/vegemite on crispy wafer thingys.. I forgot what they’re called! and of course my favorite cup of coffee!
For lunch I just had a salad (spinach, tomato, cucumber, mushrooms) topped with a sunnyside up egg!
I loooove eggs! The yolk pretty much becomes your salad dressing, if you like eggs try it in your salad next time! It ain’t just a breakfast thing ;)
I also munched on a zooper dooper cause it was sooo hot.

Once I got home & after getting attacked by Penny’s hugs and kisses I quickly got everything ready in my kitchen. I decided on Sloppy Joes for dinner, chicken fingers and green beans as sides & for dessert; caramel tarts!
I got the chicken fingers ready first..
1 whole chicken breast cut into finger sized strips
1 egg beaten into a bowl
1 bag of Kettles sour cream & red pepper chips (I had no bread crumbs at home so I opted for this. Typically you can use bread crumbs mixed with some seasoning/herbs/spices)
Now that my little station of stuff was ready it was time to get dipping! Dip each strip into the egg mixture and then roll into the crushed chips and then place onto a baking tray, remember to non-stick that shiiii!
Once you’ve done all of the strips, place the chicken fingers into a preheated oven of 200ºc and then lower the heat to around 160ºc and cook for 10-15minutes, depending how fat you cut them lol.
Penny was lucky that night, I didn’t have enough chips to cover around 6 pieces of chicken strips so she got to eat them hehe.
As for the sloppy joes, this came together so quickly! I bought burger buns just for this meal haha..
I felt like having an American-ish dinner! Which reminds me.. I’d love to try out “soul” food one day!
I got around 500g of ground beef and mixed in 5 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 small chopped onion.
I then sautéed it all together in a pan with olive oil.
While it was in the pan I added 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce, 3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Once it was fully cooked I placed it into the bun, on top of grated tasty cheese.
Ray had extra cheese in his and also a whole heap of jap mayo, I opted for just pretty much cheese/meat/bread lol.
I also sautéed some green beans for a side, I pretty much placed a few cleaned green beans into a wok with olive oil tossed it around and added a bit of salt and pepper and cooked it for about 3 minutes. I LOVE green beans they’re so yummy and the texture is crunchy! It reminds me of crunchy chips just without all those carbs & fat!
For dessert I TRIED to re-make the caramel tarts that Stacey brought over last Friday, and I thought I was doing good.. BUT my caramel came out to be a thick paste instead of a nice gooey mess :( aww.. and my chocolate melts.. REFUSED to melt!!! Wtf!! I tried for atleast an hour trying to melt my stupid “Nestle easy melt” chocolate rounds and they wouldn’t budge, I googled everything.. Microwave, double boil, add vegetable oil etc. everything failed!! My caramel was crap too so I wasn’t quite happy with that..
I still ended up putting chocolate ontop, just not the right way haha. Instead of melted chocolate I just placed the chocolate buttons on top haha.Let’s just say, I’ll have to try again next time. Which means more experimenting and more food lolol. I’ll try and keep it healthy though!
As for Wednesdayyyy ..hump day!!
I was so full from lastnight and this morning I munched on at least 4 caramel tarts. Blah. I felt so bloated after ><
I made a quick lunch pretty much just chucked the leftover chicken fingers, 1 slice of cheese & a hamburger bun into my bag and off to work I went!
I didn’t get hungry until around 11.30am and since it was pretty busy that morning, I didn’t have time to have a cup of coffee, so for “brunch” I made myself a chicken burger with cheese & bbq sauce and I had 3 remaining chicken fingers on the side which I enjoyed with a bit of tomato sauce! ..Oh! and don’t forget my favee coffee :)
Straight after work, I was still full and I still felt bloated so I wasn't hungry at all. I went and picked up my friend Gel and we headed off to another one of my weekly hair/makeup lessons. This week it was hair.. And I had to bring Gel to be model, so I can practice on her. Anyway. The makeup/hair artist, Trish that’s teaching me everything, challenged me to do a styled up do. With what she has taught me in the past couple weeks (verbal/written) pretty much I had to show her what I learnt.. let’s just say it was a practical test. And my very first one for that matter!
FIRST HAIR UPDO I HAVE EVER DONE!!! …yep. Scary.
So here’s what she showed me that I had to re-create on gel’s hair:

Oh my gosh.. Gel’s hair is THE LONGEST!! Pretty much same length as mine, fahh. Took me over an hour to complete it! Hopefully I’ll get faster at it though! I’m pretty happy with the result, especially cause it’s my first time ever styling someone’s hair. I’ll definitely do better next time!
Thank you Gel babygiiiiiirl for being my model and withstanding all those bobby pins being stabbed into your head! Love you! We gotta get us some of those wispies! haha
Trish pretty much taught me everything on makeup already, I just have to practice more and also with hair she’s taught me so many tricks!!! I wish I could share them with you.. but you know how the business works!! :p
I got home soo late lastnight around 10.45pm and I pretty much just fell asleep straight away. So I thought this morning I need a sugar filled breakfast to keep me energized!! It’s so bad… but whatevs.. I only had one meal at lunchtime yesterday lol.
So I had my usual cup of coffee and I had 3 crisp wafer things and the leftover fail caramel I had from my ugly caramel tarts haha, I just used that as a spread. Pretty good but!! I think I’m off sugary stuff for now.. Think I had a bit of an overload this morning!!
For lunch today I’m having another salad with egg(s)! This time my salad consists of 1 fully cooked egg and 1 sunny side up egg, fresh spinach, chopped cucumber, sautéed mushrooms and fresh alfalfa sprouts. I’ve been skipping salt a lot lately because, that overload of salt the other day in my meal that I had for lunch was the biggest turn off! but yes......
