So you're into cars?
Yuh-huh. I got into cars ever since I went through my brother's Hot4s magazine haha; I was about 11-12 years old?? & I remember seeing a fricking sexy Celica.. Body kit & all haha I think its nickname in the magazine was monster?? I don't know.. When I think about it I guess it was just leb-spec'd out lol. Then I started loving Nissan skylines.. R34 to be specific & it was all over once Fast & Furious hit the movies. I started getting into Hondas & funny enough my boyfriend now at the time was a mechanic & he got my number cause I was looking for a civic then & he had this whole pick-up line where he gets civics all the time at his work shop & lalala our relationship bloomed from there on haha. And yes, the EG we have & love now, is the very same EG he helped me find when we first started dating hehe. ♥
If you're so into cars, you must know a lot about them too?
Yes and no, I would love to be able to know everything in a cars engine & all in precise detail, but nah I only know the basics & it's usually only Hondas that my car knowledge surrounds haha, I'll know what kind of engine it is when I see it or read into it more. Most of the things I know about cars, I learnt all from my boyfriend! When he services a car or fixes our car or install mods or anything like that I'm usually by his side, passing him tools, or loosening up bolts or figuring out how to install something with him.. I'm his little apprentice & I'm learning something new everyday! I love the adrenaline rush of speed, corners & feeling the difference of every mod you add on one by one. Fun fact: Ray taught me manual in one day ;) however, I'm still scared to do those really really steep as fuck hill starts HAHA!
What's your favorite car?
Bugatti, Lamborghini, NSX, R35, R34 but to be more realistic Hondas haha straight rice right there! I love EGs & I have a soft spot for EP3s now obviously lol. A family car I would love would be any luxury 4WD Audi, Mercedes or bmw I'm not fuss lol. Cars I don't like will have to be girly cars like Barinas, Beetles, Astras & Echos etc.. ugh. Oh & Wagons! ..They remind me of those funeral cars o.O
What was your first car?
A white Toyota Camry..... 1988? 1989? Model..... LOL I loved that car alright! Haha even though it never exceeded a speed of 60km. JDM BRO! haha
How did you get into make-up?
I got into it since I was like really young. I was that kind of kid that would ruin my mum's expensive lipstick & place it all over the outer parts of my lips haha. I started putting on makeup properly when I was in year 10 though at like 15 years old?
What are your favorite make-up brands?
Luxury brand favorite would be Chanel & Guerlain. High end favorite would be a toss between Urban Decay, Stila, MAC & Too Faced. Drugstore favorite would definitely be Revlon.
Make-up products you can’t live without?
My Prestige liquid eyeliner, concealer & mascara.
Is your hair really that long or is it extensions?
It's my real hair. I chopped it at shoulder length when I was 15 & for the last 6 years I just get it trimmed here & there. I want a new hairstyle though! Mine's just boring :(
Why don't you blog consistently?
Most of the time I don't have time and when I do I just want to relax. I sit in front of a computer all day; I don't want to be sitting in front of a computer again as soon as I get home. But I'll try my best to post more!
How did you come up with your blog name, “jenslalaland”?
I wanted a blog name that wouldn’t be too long, yet still catchy I guess. I also wanted to blog about all sorts of things & not be stuck into one category, so I wanted a universal blog name.. The world we live in now seems as if we are all constantly being judged; that can be anything from what you look like, how much material things you have to how you act towards others. Here I can be who ever I want to be and express myself freely, my own little lala land.
What’s with, “a mind filled with girly things & jelly beans!”?
I think it’s a pretty cute slogan haha! I’m not sure if cars seem to fit in the “girly” category so it kind of contradicts that, but that’s why I love it! I love all things beauty related & girly things soo much but I love cars too, imagine finding a blog on the net that’s full girly & filled with beauty product reviews, then see a tab dedicated to cars/car journey. I would love that!! Haha, I guess it ends up to being whatever you’re into really. With “jelly beans” I’m actually not a big fan of jelly beans except if they are jelly belly’s cotton candy / bubblegum / popcorn.. Even then I can’t eat much of it besides that I don’t like any other jelly beans! I don’t get called jelly bean as often anymore, but back in primary school & high school; nearly every time I introduce myself as “Jenibie” they’d be like “huh? Jelly bean?” no. “Genevieve?” no. That was kind of annoying so I’d always just say “OMFG just call me, Jen.” But then later they’d just say it again, “hey Jelly bean” LOL I guess you’re bound to bump into that sorta stuff when you have a unique name. Bet you don’t know anyone named Jenibie except me ;)

I have so much on my plate already & fancy me trying to fit this blog into my life haha. Weekdays; 5am is the time to rise & grind! haha. Weeknights; Babetime with Ray & Penny. Friday & Saturday nights are the times I catch up with friends & Sundays are family time. Life is amazing & I'm taking it all in, one step at a time. ♥
