[Meeting Ray & being in the friend zone - April/May 2010]I was with my friend Ken just chillin’ & being bored, then he was like “hey do you wanna come with me to my mate’s house? We’ll go eat after”. I agreed & drove from his place to his mate’s place; I was actually driving my white 1989 Toyota Camry back then haha. We walked upstairs & knocked on the door, Ken opened the door & we both sat on the couch and you hear his friend saying the usual stuff like “come sit down, I’m just getting changed”. So I’m sitting on his couch and all I see around me is photos of 3 kids and toys everywhere on the floor. Ken’s friend comes out and he’s dressed so scraggy & looked like he just woke up; he was wearing blue lee jeans and a jumper that said Russell 1985?? Athletics 1985?? I don’t know.. Something like that on it lol & his hair was all poofy, he needed a bloody haircut! Haha he came up to me & Ken introduced us to each other “Ray this is Jen” and Ray’s like “hey I’m Ray” after they were talking about other random stuff about games and playstations, then ray asks me about my piercings, which he obviously saw a few of & he took out this case filled will bars & balls for tongue piercings / belly / eye brow etc. Conversation I guess started & I was like “ooohh! Can I have one!?!” and he’s like “yeah, take the whole thing I don’t use it anyway” LOL cute. Anyways we started heading out and I drove the two guys to eat at Cabra & we all had pho, there it felt as if it was just me & Ray haha, we just kept talking and he kept just asking me random questions, the usual getting to know you questions & he was so funny! I loved his personality; it definitely made me instantly attracted to him despite his no effort in his appearance haha he just made me laugh so much. Anyways after that I went & drove the guys’ home.

After a week or two Ken, Ray & I went out to eat again, this time at Canley, we had a pretty big dinner & we were there for a few hours haha and Ray had to pay most of it since Ken only had like $20 & he didn’t want me chipping in hehe. Anyways, I dropped the guys off home and when I got home I added Ray on facebook. Commented on his page saying “Fatty”. Yup. Conversation started all over again there. I remember we started commenting each other random crap like “splish splash” (inside joke) and “Russian mafia” haha.

Another week or so passed & I really wanted to chill with him again, I swear Ray was just so fun to be around! This time it was around night time & I just finished work at 5.30pm so I went to call Ken and asked what he was up to & if he wanted to chill, then he called Ray and asked if he wanted to chill and we all kinda ended up at Johnny’s place haha. All four of us was just chillin’ and we had this bright idea to just go and run a muck, seemed as if Ray tried to impress me & bought $300 worth of… drinks lol & we all went to Mounties after & continued on! We ended up on the rooftop till we got told that we couldn’t be there by security guards then we went for a smoke in the outside gaming area where I saw my ex LOL. (Mind you Ray was kinda friends with him before he met me) and I told Ray about him and he pretended to have his arms around me & get him jealous and all worked up haha (which actually worked) haha. After we went to play a bit of pool upstairs and then as it was hitting like 2-3am we headed down to Cabra inn where we chilled for a bit & this time Ken had to pretend to be my boyfriend because yeah lol whole different story. Anyways Ray & I kept talking to each other and he did such smooth move it was kind undetected! Haha I was looking for a car to buy since my Toyota Camry was obviously dying & I told him I was looking for an EG and preferably a black manual one. He was a mechanic then & he told me that he actually sees a few EGs coming in & out of the workshop he was working at that are for sale & I was like omg, let me know if you see anymore! And so he was like “yeah for sure, what’s your number? I’ll give you a call when another EG comes in that’s for sale” and so.. he got my number. DO YOU SEE WHAT HE DID THERE!?! Haha. Anyways after that I dropped the guys’ home & went home myself (I’m like the best taxi driver lol). When I got home, I kept getting phone calls off Ken, mind you he had a girlfriend that time and he just kept trying to blow me of Ray, saying things like he has three kids, this and that. Which actually freaked me out! In my head I was like oh.. That explains all the toys and photos of kids! And that was a definite no-go for me! so then couple days went past and Ray msgs me randomly asking what I’m doing and stuff and it was like 11pm or something and I was soo not bothered going out. Anyways I spoke to him on the phone for a bit and I asked him if he had kids and this and that and at first he joked and said yes and I was like okay then.. and after he realized I took it seriously and he quickly mended what he said and that he was joking and that’s when I explained to him everything and then I realized how Ken would call and msg me like crazzzzy! I’m talking like 10 msgs and 40 missed calls. I started kinda staying away from Ken then on, because I didn’t like him like that. I saw him purely as a friend.

Anyways, couple days later Ray and I organized to chill together after I finished work, I went to meet up with him and we were like hmm.. What’s there to do tonight? So I grabbed a few drinks my friend gave me, and we headed out to Macquarie hotel, where we just kinda drank and partied a bit and we bumped into friends & family! Lol! so random, my brother/sister-in-law thought Ray was my boyfriend that time I was like nooooo, we’re just friends anyways it was like 10pm already and we headed out of the club and we were like… what’s there to do now? So we drove to mt Druitt lol! And met up with a friend and then headed back missioning it everywhere! We went to so many different random suburbs haha we finally ended up at a park and just chilled and ate kebabs then I kid you not it was like 11-12ish and all we did was sit in my car and talked shit till 11am the next day.. We spoke for more than 11 hours!!!! It was cute though, it was like being on the phone except we were just sitting there, him in the passenger and me in the driver’s seat. During that whole conversation we pretty much told each other we’re into each other but indirectly haha so gay. Anyways we headed back to his place and he was actually living with his sister and those kids were his nephew & nieces! We ended up crashing on the couch in the lounge and we couldn’t really sleep so we went on YouTube for a bit, where he tried his first move hahaha which was pretty much just stroking my hand. NGAWWWWWWWWW!!

After a couple days we just kept msging each other & then we met up again and feelings were just building up and building up at this point! So I was like “so…. What am I?” lol and he was like “do you wanna be my girlfriend?” and yesm. I became Mrs. Raymond Ly. LOLOLOL I mean his girlfriend.


[First Confession - June 2010]
2 weeks into our blossoming relationship haha, I confessed how I felt. YES, I was the first one to say I love you & it was so cheeeeeeeeeesy how I said it. Ray actually laughed hahaha! I think I watched ‘Dear John’ too many times lol. Anyways we were in my car & I was like hey I have to say something to you.. And I was like “I don’t think we should be together anymore..” and he was like “what!?! Why? Are you serious? Already? Why?” and I was like “cause! Just we can’t be together, I feel fcked” and he was like “why but? What did I do?” and because I was scared to get hurt again, I had my guard up but I was obviously getting weak. I said “because.. I think love you” and Ray was like “oh.” then starts smiling and about to burst out laughing and I was like “stop ittt! Shut up! I shouldn’t of told you!” and he was like “nah it’s cute.” And then it went awkward, I was obviously waiting for a response like “I love you” back but he was like “Don’t worry I’ll get there soon” LOOOOOOOL, rejected. ANYWAYS, enough of that embarrassing moment. Hahaha


[Confession, his turn - June 2010]It was around a week and a half after I confessed, during that week and a bit where we spent more time together pretty much me sleeping over and just being with him everyday. I guess he started feeling the same? We were lying down and he was like “I love you” and I was like awww!!! I love you too!! (I never said I love you to him again after I first confessed lol) and he started saying that he was just waiting for the right time to say it & actually feel it. This is what I should’ve done haha. But I’m just such an impatient person LOL. & it was just all fun & games, love & laughter, adventures & mishaps after that!
